hippietown

im watching this dvd on the 3-day woodstock party. man, it was REALLY crazy...
rain and mud sliding..really good music..yoga "that gets you naturally high".
little kids running around while their mother is wasted. crosby, stills, and nash
putting on a nice performance...vehicles layered in a way to where itd take days
to leave the big field.
very political and meaningful period..i just dont like how they protested sometimes in
a very wrong approach...i mean hitting soldiers as if they had a choice..always having
kaliedoscope brains..i wouldnt want to listen to someone like that.
but, i do passion the idea of peace,"love and music, hey hey hey!"-boston

Re: In case you didn't know...

That was random. Where'd it come from? I don't see a year mentioned at all in the above post.

But the community is [info]70s_rockbands. That's why I said that Woodstock was in 1969. It didn't happen in the 70s.

Re: In case you didn't know...

Oh.

So let me get this straight.

Woodstock was in August 1969. After Woodstock, none of those bands played music anymore. Groups such as CCR, CSNY, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Jefferson Airplane, The Who, etc. didn't play music into the 70s? Wow. I guess a lot can happen in 4 months.

Am I wrong? Please enlighten me.

Re: In case you didn't know...

I didn't say the BANDS weren't relevant. I was just making the poster aware that the festival happened in 1969.
